10 years ago, Vern VE1VDM mentioned the Alert NU beacon. It was finally heard here, GN37
at 0200 1 Feb. There was much jubilation!
This is a high power beacon only 4000 km away and heard often in Europe. Might auroral absorption cause its sigs to be so elusive here? Perhaps all the ice on the path?
