Thanks for the test report and comments Mike. The frequency inversion is an interesting point, but as Ray says, this might be addressable in some cases. I don't think any of my radios have an IF port - I have the follow on Icom R-72, which is a much slimmed down (in size and features) animal to the '71, and the port was one of the casualties. However, it is still a very good radio with a strong front end and good performance. Ed
