Closing comments on the rtl-sdr: Having used the device from lf to >1 ghz, the dongle is quite an amazing device for the 20 bucks or so I originally paid for it. It's being used in so many different ways as evidenced by a casual look at the rtl-sdr.com website. It's at its best when used in its normal mode of function above 25 mhz, but even when using it in an extended mode below 25 mhz, it gives decent performance for casual monitoring all the way down to the lower freqs of the AM BCB. I was successful in decoding wspr2 on the 160m band as well as 630m, but decodes were down roughly 11 db or so compared to my main sdr receivers. Bottom line is that it's such a handy and useful device to have in any radio enthusiasts "toolbox". Ray
