Today was a lot better at my farm than Sunday; less QRM, better propagation, and even stronger and more stable short-hop paths.

Around the watering hole at both 5:30 and 7:00 PM CDT, NC and EH were battling each other for dominance around 13555.490 to .500. 7P was fair. SIW slant was fair to good with low to moderate Doppler shift; similar results at .400 for the SIW WSPR and QRSS6 feed, except at that time scale the Doppler bifurcation sometimes manifested as a perforation effect in the dashes. KI5FX WSPR was visible directly above the QRSS6 "W" during most cycles. WM seemed to be present about one minute out of every seven or eight...really clear for 30 seconds, and fainter for up to a quarter of a minute before or after the peak. (Wind affecting Mike's antenna, perhaps?) In the later watering hole session, 0V also showed up.

Between 6:00 and 6:45, I went hunting aurally. WV was fair to good aural copy at the low end of the band.

Above the band mid-point, "the beacon formerly known as PCO" has apparently reverted to an ID from a year and more ago. I saw (and almost could hear) what is possibly AN near its new spot, and had brief faint copy of ABBY. RF was swinging between clear copy to obscurity every few ID cycles, while FRC's keyed carrier was just barely visible. Still no sign of KAH for several weeks now. WAS was faintly visible and almost audible at 13566.215 kHz. RVA was nicely audible about half the time, as was AMA, with QSB cycles ranging between three and four minutes.

MR.X is still with us, but hard to get more than one clear letter each time the ID comes around.

Getting ready to go back and check 1750 meter next, so there may or may not be additional HiFER results to report tonight.
