John, it seems like I'm always trying to bend the rules of physics.. getting something to work that can't. :-) I'm experiencing exactly what your stating about the diminishing returns at the low end of the units range. I can see that I'm "stretching the rubber band", so to speak getting the unit to improve snr at even 630m. It does improve my reception down there, but that's going to be about the limit under present conditions. I do have my 2200m loopstick I can try to use as the noise antenna. I assume that will work as the loop that you speak of. It is tuned/resonant on 2200m, not broadband, but I'd only be asking it to work in the system at that freq. I think my last mod with the unit will be to add a reverse phase switch on the main antenna input, as previously mentioned. I seem to "up against the stops" with the phase pot when trying to cancel noise on certain hf bands. Thanks for your comments on this John. Happy New Year to you.Ray
