Hello, I recently bought a low frequency crystal, marked 186.30 kc, on ebay. It is a Blily crystal in a MC72 package. I thought it would be fun to make a Lowfer beacon out of it. However, the oscillator circuit I built for it (based on "LF Crystal Controlled Oscillator", by Ramon Vargas Patron) causes the crystal to oscillate at twice the nominal frequency. Does anyone know of a circuit that would be appropriate for this crystal?
