How is that possible, with more new stations on the air this year than ever?

Reporting in open, publicly viewable forums is clearly down, partly due to seasonal factors, partly due to clannishness of certain email groups, and possibly also because a number of us old-timers who used to try to set good examples by regularly posting reports are no longer physically able to go to our listening sites, and/or downsized households recently and don't have their new listening posts set up yet.

And speaking of clannishness, I sincerely believe the silly divide between the "CW is the ONLY mode, and I will never send nor listen for any other" camp versus the "digimodes are the only way to go, everything else is too old hat to bother with" faction is also extremely unhelpful. The radio hobby should be many things to many people if it is to thrive.
