Hi Folks,

I've been doing some 22m monitoring over the last few days. It seems conditions are changing, offering some good propagation at times. This has also coincided with more unsettled weather, meaning that our nearby CODAR station has been competing for the airwaves.

7P has been strong and audible for long periods, seemingly cuing up on schedule each morning before the background noise comes up. NC shows in the afternoon, sometimes running for long periods into evening and night.

WM, not such a frequent visitor was particularly notable yesterday, visible with a very good S/N in Spectrum Lab after the band quietened down for the evening. Some fading was noted, on a timescale comparable to the length of an ID.

A UNID signal of very unsteady Morse-like characters was also noted (screenshots available). Frequency, about 200-300 Hz above NC's haunt. Each key down showed unsteady frequency, with an overall drift downwards during the entire period of activity, which was about 20 minutes (Will confirm timings later).

That's all from here, except to say that I have repaired the Town's 10W AM TIS Emergency information radio transmitter after a curious failure of it's output stage. A case of ham goes semi pro, perhaps?
