Good to know, John. I just spent a long weekend up in Durham, ME, about 19 air miles from Raymond. Kicking myself that I didn't bring my portable Grundig RX although perhaps not so sensitive. I don't have SDR or QRSS decoding capabilities, but still would have tried to hear audible signals on 185.3-ish kHz and perhaps, at only 19 miles, I might have done so. Question: if a dit on QRSS60 is 60 seconds, how long is the dead air time between dits and dahs? And between characters? I realize it would take patience to hear this, but having audibly decoded the incredibly monotonous 100 Hz subcarrier time coding on WWV, I've got some experience battling audio concentration-fatigue. Would like to try to listen for TAG again next time I'm up in Durham. I think unlikely I'd hear it down here in the north shore Boston area, but will still give it a try. No current plans to outfit myself with SDR and QRSSxx capabilities. I have never once heard a LOWFER on the 1750 meter band so this is bugging me. You're the closest chance I have to fixing that! Thanks, Bruce WA1HGJ
