On 1 November 2025 Dave Kernick reported on Facebook - "Swedish longwave station Kinna 261 was observed testing on 261kHz at 09:45UT on Saturday 1 November 2025. The signal was super-weak and noisy via a webSDR in nearby Borås and would normally be extremely difficult to identify 100%, but comparison with an audio file on the station's website ([https://www.500khz.se/lw.php) confirmed identification. The broadcast consisted of a 1-minute loop with interval signal played three times then a female with the following announcement [here translated from Swedish]: "This is a test broadcast on longwave from Kinna 261. Any listening reports should be sent to info@elektrosport.se".
The transmission was still in progress at 13:05UT and was noted the following day with an even weaker signal at 08:00UT". The station is licensed it only has a power of 50 watts.
