I also remember old magazine items about other possibilities than the ham-type communication stuff we became used to. All were intended to replace wired communications systems: -School "language labs" -Farm intercom systems. -Translation services in large facilities. I'm sure there were others. With a lot of the old hobbyist magazines being available on-line, the whole topic might be interesting to research. Many things might have been possible in those years after the death of noisy old electrical city power systems and the advent of modern electronic trash. John, W1TAG
