Rule #1 of Real Life: Not everything worth knowing is on the Internet.

This is a digital corollary of the Dancing Dog Perspective; the wonder of it not being that it does everything perfectly, but that it does it at all.
;)

This, of course, is only one of the important principles of Real Life, the absolute first and most most fundamentally important of all being Rule Zero: Not everything on the Internet is true.

Also known as the Grapevine corollary, "believe half of what you see, son, and none of what you hear" is advice that perhaps originally came from Ben Franklin. When you still also hear it two centuries later from the likes of Marvin Gaye, John Fogarty, Gladys Knight, and every single one of her Pips, you kinda have to pay attention to it.
