Hello group. I need a sanity check here WRT propagation below the AMBC band. Is it just me or has propagation been extremely poor for at least the last month?I can just barely see carriers above the NF for all LWBC stations. This is not normal. This means signals are down at least 25 dB. My NF seems to be what it normally is. VLF signals (military MSK sigs) are down slightly but not nearly as bad as in the range from about 60 kHz to 200-300 kHz. For example I have not seen one single sign of LOWFER TAG where as a month ago I was seeing it quite well every night, even just after sunset.
How are other listeners hearing the TA (trans-atlantic) LWBC signals? I would imagine those along the east coast should be hearing much better then me here in the Midwest but are they there like normal or really down like here?
Appreciate any comments. I may have something goofy going on at the antenna, not sure. Though truth be told I am not in a hurry to truck through a foot of snow several hundred feet away from the house when the air temp is -4F to start testing cables and connectors. 73 Gedas W8BYA
