Example of Algeria 153 kHz Modulation Goes Weaker

Last night just prior to midnight local time here in Indiana (Feb 12/13 2026) I captured another example of Algeria's audio on 153 kHz all of a sudden getting weaker. I suspect (pure speculation on my part) is that they are switching audio feeds and nobody is checking the VU meter to ensure the proper audio level is being delivered to the transmitter.

It was unfortunate that the propagation at this moment was poor so signal strength was below average AND we had a moderate amount of T-storm static from some storms within 1000 miles. Anyway, the next time you see & hear a strong carrier on 153 kHz but cannot hear any modulation it is not your fault. 73 Gedas W8BYA
