Thanks Geydas, After living in the big city with all the noise I put down a large Loop on Ground when I moved here. it has worked well for me. I was planning on putting a preamp on it when I found time. I just wanted to see how well a LOG would work. It is a rather large loop on ground and it surprised me in that it works well up to about 170 MHz. My plans are to install something more directional to null out the big AM stations nearby. Without a band cut on my LOG the AM stations crucify me. My next attempt will be a EWE or a large loop. Several of them and I have enough land to put a Beverage for my exposure to the south. I hope to learn from these experiments because of all the things I have read about receive antennas never point out what antenna works best. The noise I started experiencing the other day is still there making low frequencies useless.
