I am glad to hear that several folks got in on the great propagation last night on LW.

Here in Indiana BBC-R4 on 198 kHz was the clear winner all night long. Well TDF on 162 is always super strong but it sends digital data only.

I was able to make many hours worth of I/Q and WAV audio recordings of the entire band for most of the night. If there is any interest in hearing some clips let me know and I will put something together and get it posted.

Morocco on 171 kHz had her moments too when the signals were nice and strong, same as Algeria on 153 kHz. It was interesting that Algeria on 252 kHz, while heard, was never really strong. Zero signs of modulation from Poland on 225 kHz. Isn't it fascinating how the propagation changes night after night for different stations not that far from each other (relatively speaking).

My biggest complaint was the darn QRN ! It was pretty bad for me from local SS to about 1 AM then it started to quiet down a bit. I was picking up very strong lightning crashes with only brief moments in between when clear voice or music could be heard. During those periods the LWBC stations, like BBC sounded like a local !

I am wondering out of all the membership of this fine club how many still take a listen for LWBC stations? I think it is awesome that we have a half dozen that message here on this board but is that it? Are there no more LW enthusiasts out there? We need to get some more listening and reporting going. I for one want to thank those who do post here to share their reports or questions etc. 73 Gedas W8BYA
