To swlem3- Don't bow out man. Just take a bow. I have had such a time dealing with noise and really I know a lot about it but I have not had real time to address it. Now that I am retired I have given some time to doing things that I want. If one does a lot of research one does not come away with the thought that you know which antenna to chose. Most articles are not technical enough to say this is the definite result you get. I plan on experimenting some but I was hoping to have the end-all fix-all antenna. No way. Like everything one has to find out for themselves. Not that I am complaining. If one reads enough a lot of information comes from "I have one so it's the best and that what I will tell everyone". I like it when a real sharp person says " there may be something better but I would try this first". Would love to hear about you equipment.
