Hi Bruce. Thank you !
I was pretty surprised to see them myself. Despite the crazy QRN everyone is currently fighting the watering hole is still bubbling with activity. The propagation is still there esp an hour before local SR in the case of long-haul DX like TAG. It would be neat if we could get some more folks looking for these LOWFERS. Just a couple days ago I still had all 3 in there banging away. QRSS is such a neat mode esp when aided by software like ARGO.BTW, I was in communication with one of the hosts of a QRSS LOWFER from the SE and he informed me for all practical purposes there is no more activity from several stations around him (including himself) since he moved to Alaska (If I recall). What a bummer.
Also, unless WH2XXP was not able to radiate the same power as last year and was not aware of it I think it never was on the air this last winter, else I would have seen it. I never saw a hint of it whereas last winter I had dozens of recordings of it's beacon.
Anyway, I will see if I can summarize our chats with our Dixie friend and post the details so that other listeners do not waste their time trying to find several of these beacons. 73 Gedas W8BYA
