Hi there Glenn. Yup your friend, you, and I are all saying exactly the same thing. All this brought back memories when we were installing some new shielded enclosures for our specialty work. I cannot go into specifics but the filters we had to use were insanely expensive (thousands dollars each) but they also provided superior performance. 100 dB of attenuation from just above DC to daylight. Three were required, one for each powerline and one for ground and were huge in size....many feet tall and weighed a ton. For my home use I look for NOS Corcom's on fleabay. I can find them delivered for $20/ea at times. They are of the configuration we spoke earlier of utilizing two sections for enhanced LF performance. 73 Gedas W8BYA
