When I observe 175 it is fairly constant. I have never seen any type of modulation on it. That would leave one to believe it might be navigational. A few times I have seen it before sunset. It has disappeared for a time by fading and then coming back after sunset. It does not appear to have any correlation to the local PLC (power company monitoring). I received it mostly in fall, winter and early spring. Then it disappeared until the last few days. The bulk of observations are during dark time around 9 to 9:30 Texas time. I have never found a listing for an NDB in the U.S. below 200K. Mexico does have some low frequency NDB's. Not many but they do not list 175. Canada does not have any listed NDB's below 200. Cuba has some LF NDB's but none are below 200. It does not deviate off of 175 Khz. It is right on. Since you cannot see it where you live and I have seen no other reports from your area I assume that it may be from a southern location. I can no longer stay up late (after 2) to observe it so I don't know when it disappears. I have seen it disappear before midnight. I can see if for 3 or 4 hours and right now much less.
