Well that explains it, Glenn. I did some quick LW sweeps just after local sundown last night (0045 UTC 7/4) and not only didn’t I hear your 175 kHz signal (indeed, I’ve never heard it), I heard virtually nothing, including a local NDB (MJ, 209 kHz, Manchester, NH) which at 25 miles away is virtually always audible here. Just checked now (2220 UTC, 7/4) and we’re still at Kp index 5 with Kp6 predicted before things settle down. Internet here has also been unreliable which may be connected. Anyway, likely little to no chance for anything on the LW bands tonight.
