Last night was better than the night before but even that was a nice improvement over what it has been for months. The last two nights Algeria on 252 kHz was poor-to-fair listening. When fair enough to tell what western tunes were being played and that the language after 04:00z was in French. 162 kHz has been very strong both nights. Zip carrier on 153 kHz. I fear they may be shutting that one down, sure hope not. Last night had a carrier for Medi 1 on 171 kHz but it was shut down for maintenance 2 nights ago. Of interest was a just detectable very weak carrier for Poland on 225 kHz, something I do not think I have seen at all yet this year. Also I was seeing and hearing the 3 digital EFR teleswitch data streams from Germany and Hungary and even DCF77 on 77.5 kHz was coming in. Was also seeing LORAN at 100 kHz. So maybe things are FINALLY making a turn for the good. 73 Gedas W8BYA
