I heard about noise from those older inverters ED, and it's good to hear you find the newer version quieter. I've always wondered about the large solar "farm" arrays you see off the highways. Wonder how much noise they feed back into the output utility lines? I would have liked to see the write-up you remember. Might have given us some ideas to apply at home. I'm pretty sure all this is known by those engineers that design power systems. I don't think it would be cost prohibitive if it mass produced and just made part of the way things are done. I just think there's "inertia" to getting something done the right way that (relatively) very few people complain about. It's like that in many areas of human endeavor, not just our present subject.
