Ray,I can't find the original article - it must have been 10 or more years since I stumbled upon it. Searches now return info (and ads) for "Balanced Power" aimed at audio equipment - Basically a 1:1 isolating transformer with a center tap secondary winding. These seem to be intended to be used right at the equipment location, rather than as part of the main supply. I'll keep looking though, for that old web page.
Meanwhile, the tide of noisemakers is unrelenting. There's no way to ever ensure that everything complies with existing standards, let-alone make things better.
Then again - I've two very nice receivers who's internal electronics cause trouble at LF and VLF. Beautiful vacuum fluorescent displays though....
