In media feeding frenzies (from all sides) the first thing to get lost is a sense of perspective. Remember our earlier discussions of WSPR being used to track ham balloons? It's one thing to shoot down a spy-bus-in-the-sky, another to shoot $400,000 missiles at $120 hobby balloons...and sometimes miss...then have late-night comedians spreading rumors about space aliens for good (bad?) measure, too.
