Just curious if it’s known if solar storms have lower impacts on VLF? Sure seemed that way to me.
That strikes me as a well supported observation, Bruce. The massive aurorae in early 1922 were notorious for their disruption of telegraphs lines, but the newspapers of the time marveled that wireless stations seemed unaffected. (That was, of course, when all commercial traffic was still handled on long waves. When shortwave became more familiar, they couldn't say the same any longer.)
