Hello Guy, Welcome to LWCA. Good luck with your projects - We all look forward to hearing about your progress. BCB interference can be tricky. I have not had to resort to complex filters, but the LF converter I use does need some help to tame the SF Bay Area big guns when using the longer of my receiving antennas. For F Connectors, do yourself a favour and buy the type that can be installed with a tool, and then pressed in to place. It's then a simple matter of dressing the cable end, and squeezing on the new connection. Add a little dielectric grease to the threads where connections are exposed to the weather. I've had good luck using RG6 and F connectors for receive lines. 73, Ed KO6BLM
