By no means is it optimized. I have been making improvements to it as times goes along. It is susceptible to the blast of powerful AM radio stations in the area. Basically it is a loop on ground of square geometry. I used an outdoor UV resistant stranded 14 gauge wire. It is over 800 ft on the perimeter. I was trying to make it insensitive to higher frequencies so I used a lower frequency material that is optimum for use in switching power supplies. It didn't help much. I wasn't expecting MW and SW to come in that well. I also put one broadcast band filter on it before handing it off to my receiver. That helped a lot. I have not added an amplifier yet. This antenna is not my choice but it works very well. My dream antennas are coming. I just need to get some improvements done to my property before I can start thinking about that. I plan on 4 EWE antennas along with a Beverage on Ground pointed at South America. I also want to be a 10' by 10' loop antenna that is tuned remotely.
