I am glad a lot of people are able to receive the signal from ALS162. It normally is the strongest TA LW signal for me all the time no matter what.Given that I thought it would be neat to see what exactly ALS162 is transmitting so I wrote a simple decoder program. This version is for Windows and is Python based code and it allows you to load a prerecorded WAV or MP3 audio file or port the audio output from your receiver directly into the program using VAC.
Hope it works for you as well as it works here for me. I made a zip file that contains the executable file, a sample ALS162 audio file you can load into the program in case you do not have one or cannot connect up your receiver yet plus a small PDF that describes the program etc. Just unzip the package, put it in any subdirectory of your choosing and double click on the .exe file. 73 Gedas W8BYA
