Hello Guy, Longwave listening is challenging, thus all the fun. Adding a lowpass filter before your receiver is one of the best ways to minimize BC band interference. Clint, KA7OEI, has a lot of great technical information and how-to's at his website. Here is a link to a simple and effective lowpass filter for reception that doesn't use toroids: https://ka7oei.blogspot.com/2014/02/low-pass-filter-for-mflf-reception.html The R75 should be very good for low frequency reception with the right antenna(s) and a lowpass filter. Have fun and 73. Ed, KI6R
