I agree, 75 and some others are a good choice for lower frequencies. I have not used W yet but will consider. The thing I don't like is the expense and weight of the cores hanging from a cable. EMI specialist recommend using (an almost) standard CM/DM circuit for power devices. They will isolate your device from the power service and prevent noise from entering from the device back to the power system. The power system could turn into antenna. So I am looking at lower cost alternatives and about to test one rated at 25 amps. The more expensive line filters don't care about low frequencies. I have tested a bunch of different providers. Most start at 1 MHz. They are based on a standard circuit also. Just not as complicated as the ones that EMI designers use. Although that one is really not that complicated. But the ferrite core has to be used in some places.
It is a shame that we have to worry about noise from switching power supplies but many are made in China and other places that don't care about noise. LED lights as well. But people look at Amazon and see dollar signs. Thats what brings those nasty power supplies to us. Greed.
