I have read over the years (by non expert authors) that you can receive Long Waves in Texas. I live near San Antonio. This is what I am seeing tonight on my SDR receiver:kHz
162 ALS162 from France
175 unknown
202.1 unknown possible distant power line PLC
227 unknown possible NDB
228.1 unknown possible distant power line PLC
228.6 unknown possible distant power line PLC
233.1 unknown possible distant power line PLC
243.1 unknown possible distant power line PLC
251 NDB AM out of Amarillo Texas
252 Alger252
257 NDB DT out of Denton Texas
267 NDB HET out of Henryetta OK
272 NDB RU out of San Marcos Texas
278 NDB IL out of Killeen Texas
281 NDB CX out of Conroe Texas
I do see many power line PLC channels that are not listed but they are not on right now. The only ones I see right now are listed above. Whoever said you cannot receive long wave in Texas was wrong. However, it is tough sometimes to see them.
