Marcy, My mother said there would be days like that. I am working on noise issues at my kingdom. They are more numerous than I can count. We are being deluged by Chinese goods that create noise when plugged in. Just bye from Amazon or Walmart and you will experience it. The other issue is that when you want to add noise suppression there is little available (that's cheap) to deal with it. Some of the more expensive will still not take out noise that you and I would be interested in. I really started studying EMI combat and my eyes were open to this fact. You just about have to build your own to do it right. I have 3 computer power supplies and some LED lights (all made in China I'm sure) that produce broad band noise starting at sixty Kilohertz. It's easy to filter out the higher harmonics that would bother the Ham bands but still will not exlude the LW and VLF bands. I know because I have exhaustively tested them. I did find a power line filter that says it will handle 10K Hertz and above. As soon as I get my hands on them I will test them also. They don't cost an arm and a leg so I will publish my results. Maybe someone can benefit.
